(Annoying) Lessons Learned
My older boys have a way with annoying me. Like any child of their ages they love cartoons, the really annoying cartoons ... and they must act them out in every annoying detail 12 hours a day! One of their favorite cartoons is 'Billy & Mandy' and I must say even thinking the name of that show sends shivers down my back. Never has a more gross, more mind-numbing, more ... well ... annoying cartoon been created. The main character, Billy, is gross and for lack of a better phrase, a little special in the head. His favorite phrase is "tweet-tweet bird dude" which my older boys picked up faster then you can say "turn off that crap!" For months upon months I have listened to these children of mine run around the house yelling "tweet-tweet bird dude" to each other as well as when we are in the truck to every passing car on the road. Well today, my sweet innocent, never watches cartoons one year old son decided to add to his vocabulary. He has been known to say about a half dozen words, when he feel like doing so, but today he was taught a lesson. The lesson of course came from his older brothers ... the lesson on how to annoy Mama! My sweet child has now begun to run around the house, following the fast paced footsteps of his older brothers, yelling "tweet-tweet do" Now I must admit I laughed, a lot, at first, which was my mistake. He now thinks he is adorable doing this and will not stop no matter what the bribe. His older brothers think he is the coolest one year in the world and his father has yet to see him do it so is insistent on saying the infamous phrase over and over and over again to him in hopes of him repeating it. Ah, well here's to annoying lessons learned .... tweet-tweet bird dude!!
